Recently I interviewed Dr Diljeet Bhachu, who is currently a Fellow in Music Education and Participation at RNCM as well as a teacher, lecturer, producer, composer and activist. Diljeet is involved in many aspects in the musical field and while her main focus is not composing, I thought interviewing Diljeet would bring a different and important insight into being a woman who composes, as well conducting research and producing alongside many other incredible jobs.

This episode will be in two parts, with today’s episode focusing on Diljeet’s music making, her flute duo and her approach to making music in her own authentic way~ she also has a great free alternative to Sibelius so if you’re worried about paying for software listen out for that!. I hope you enjoy this episode and watch out for part two! https://anchor.fm/niamh-mckendrick/episodes/The-Other-Manuscript-with-Diljeet-Bhachu-e1he0s4
